







As the moon crossed the path of the sun during the April 8th 2024 eclipse, silver halide paper was exposed to changing lighting conditions in Chemical Valley as coverage approached and withdrew from 98% totality. Often acting as a harbinger of change or an omen of things to come, a near miss in cosmic alignment reveals the tension in renegotiating industry practices to better serve the land and those living on it. A development process in which precipitation and phenols extracted from rosehips found growing in the valley are used to further reveal information encoded in the land and the ongoing state of chemical leakage stemming from nearby plants.
